The Scorecard is an easy-to-use publication that helps your community assess its readiness for growth in a realistic, specific, revealing way. This tool can help you engage the public in discussing and shaping your community’s future.

To begin, obtain a copy of the Scorecard and bring together a group to answer the questions posed. This tool can be used by different groups, including:
- The planning commission, or other local officials, for their own guidance;
- Community leaders to prepare for public meetings or planning sessions;
- Those interested in public involvement in planning and decision-making;
- Member of the community, interest group or the media.
